Building is a primal, timeless human expression.

I feel privileged to enjoy the skills, the discernment, the subtle touch accrued

over many years of experience, to bring ideas, images from my own mind

and the imagination of others to life through compellingly useful,

beautiful and enduring wood furniture.

Since I was a child watching my father build for utility, and for pleasure,

my fascination with making things, with using my hands as tools to shape, to construct,

to bring beauty and delight into the world,

has been my constant companion, source of immense satisfaction,

and means to engage in some of the most profound of human endeavors;

to learn, and to share that learning through my art and craft.

My goal is simple:

To create furniture whose initial visual impression satisfies,

but that also evokes the desire to touch, to intertwine

the visual and tactile pleasures inherent in burnished wood;

the softened edge, the crisp delineation of adjacent surfaces,

or the movement of a sinuous curve.
